Stuart has been documenting life with his camera for more than 15 years. He has traveled the world photographing extravagant weddings, as well as advertising, editorial and commercial assignments. You can find Stuart's emotion filled photography in the pages of several books, magazines, and newspapers as well as filling the walls of his client's homes.
His background in photographing headline-grabbing events certainly gives him insight into what makes a compelling picture, but Stuart also delights in capturing the simpler moments of life. Or, to be more exact, the "decisive moment," a concept developed by the father of modern photojournalism, Henri Cartier-Bresson. The decisive moment is when energy is at its peak, and the photographer must rely on their intuition to know when to capture that picture. Rather than forcing people into poses, Stuart thinks of his work as holding up a mirror, netting the honest and authentically beautiful aspects of people's personalities.
