Michael & Amy's Wedding

Michael & Amy had a simply gorgeous ceremony at The Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix. Both Amy and Michael are full of life and enthusiasm and are so much fun to be around. One of the highlights from their wedding was during the ceremony when Michael's Japanese grandfather proceeded over part of the ceremony. There was not a dry eye in the house when he finished speaking, not even mine. Thanks to both Amy & Michael and their families for their warmth and hospitality. We loved being a part of your wedding day!

I think the relationship between mother and daughter is so important. Amy's mom was so helpful all day.

While the girls primped, the guys spent time taking each others money!

These guys are just so cute together. I don't think they stopped smiling all day long.

This wedding was also a family reunion! Family and friends traveled from all over the world to be together to celebrate Michael and Amy's new life together.

Kids are always so much fun to photograph at weddings because you never know what they are going to do. This wedding was full of great spontaneous kid moments.

This is what love is all about! WOW! It is such a privilege to witness this kind of love!

Congratulations, the wedding was a perfect blend of intimacy, emotion, and celebration. It even finished off with an amazing Arizona sunset. For even more pictures from Michael & Amy's wedding, check out their slideshow!

PUG Fashion

The Phoenix chapter of the Pictage User Group put on a great fashion shoot last week. I was honored to be invited to be one of the team leaders for the lighting workshop. Jefferson Todd and Kimberly Jarman where also instructors. I taught on using multiple off camera flashes to light fashion at night. We also practiced using a mixture of natural light and on camera flash in downtown Mesa, AZ. Thanks to all the photographers who participated and made this event a success. Also a huge thank you to our model Talia and the other models that came out!

Amy's Senior Portraits

I had a great time shooting senior portraits for Amy. Lindsey, from the previous post, and Amy wanted to have their pictures taken together. Having a friend along helped make both feel more relaxed in front of the camera. Tempe and Downtown Phoenix proved to be a perfect backdrop for both of these beautiful girls!

You can view the rest of our shoot with Lindsey and Amy in this slideshow!

Lindsey's Senior Portraits

I had a great time shooting Lindsey's senior portraits the other day. Lindsey a growing photographic talent in her own right, wanted something unique for her senior session. Lindsey used to work for me as a photography assistant and wanted to have non-traditional senior portraits taken in downtown Phoenix. We hit the town for a few hours, and ended up getting some great photos. I love these kinds of creative photo sessions!

To see more of Lindsey's senior portraits, as well as her friend Amy's, check out their slideshow!

Phoenix Bride & Groom Networking Party

One of my favorite magazines in the valley, Phoenix Bride and Groom Magazine, just hosted a fantastic networking event featuring the most unique venue. Los Cedros, is no ordinary stable. Located in the foothills of Scottsdale lies the home of world champion Arabian horses. It features a horse pool and personal stalls for each of the magnificent animals. The entire day was an amazing showcase of talent and passion. Congratulations to all who put on this fantastic event. To see more pictures check out the SLIDESHOW!

World renowned event designer, writer, speaker, and television personality for Design Star, Scott Corridon, was the featured speaker in the morning session. Scott flew in from Santa Barbra California to give an inspirational message which brought a lot of laughter and tears to a standing room only audience.

My hat goes off to Suzanne at Flora Europa for putting together such beautiful floral arrangements and table decor. She is truly an artist!

Raj Tents of California was a show stopper and the perfect backdrop for Debbie Weisz of Dessert Botanical Gardens to catch a few of the last rays of sun from the day.

Bruce Brown Catering served up the best sweet potatoes I have ever had! They taste as good as they look.

A horse show is an included bonus for those who choose to use this location for their events. Seeing these horses reminded me of when I would ride my uncles horses in Montana!

Not to be left out of the fun, Scott Corridan decided to give his evening talk perched on a bronze steed!
